BIO

My name is Jacob Fries and as you can see, I love to take pictures. I'm currently attending Trent University in the B.S.c.N program and in the future, I plan to become an NP. I also used to be a part of a singing and dancing group called KW GLEE in Waterloo. There I met a lot of very talented people that I'm glad I get to call friends.

I didn't start to take pictures until grade 10, when I got my first camera for Christmas. I instantly fell in love with photography and began taking pictures whenever I got the chance. I started taking pictures of things I loved; this being animals, plants, etc. From there I started to take pictures (candids) of my friends and family. Taking these pictures, I realized that I was capturing a lot of the joy that was being expressed on their faces. That is when I knew that portraits were my thing. I began going out with friends and forcing them to be in front of my camera. Some loved it, and some, well, not so much.

From then on, I kept practicing my skills, investing in knew lenses and accessories for my camera, and learned how to edit the photos however I wanted them. This website is a way for me to show everyone my passion for photography, and hopefully inspire someone else too.
